Sydney, 107 Rooftop Garden
Sydney, New South Wales 2016 Australia
Level 1, 107 Redfern St, Sydney, NSW – enter via door + stairwell to the left of main 107 frontage…
The 107 Rooftop Garden is an urban permaculture garden + workshop space on level 1 of 107 Projects in Redfern.
Since Spring 2014 Milkwood + friends have been transforming this empty space into an inner-city food system full of vertical gardens, intensive veggie beds, aquaponics, beehives and opportunities to learn!
107 Projects is a post-industrial, multidisciplinary creative space located in the cultural melting pot of Redfern; cultivated by a team of artists and artisans who believe in everyone’s right to creative nourishment.
The 107 cafe downstairs serves great coffee + wholesome food, including rooftop garden produce! All revenue goes straight back into 107 Projects – support your local creatives, so they can support you.
Getting there by Train
Take the train to Redfern Station and head east up Redfern Street for 3 blocks. 107 Projects will be on your right. Public Transport trip planner…
Getting there by Car
Please refer to the google map above to navigate from wherever your start point is. There is limited free all-day weekend street parking nearby on George Street, or ticketed 4p parking on Saturday/Sunday all along on Redfern Street.
Like any inner-Sydney suburb, though, all-day parking is limited, so we would recommend parking your car at your nearest train or bust station, and getting to Redfern via public transport.
Where to stay
If you’re coming from afar, Redfern has a lot of good beds for you to sleep in. It’s one of those inner-city suburbs with lots (and lots) of economical Air BnB options, but few official hotels.
If you’re looking for a hotel in the City, the Metro Sydney Central is great value and quiet.
