Spring is slowly but surely springing at Milkwood, and our new forest garden is beginning to wake up from the cold and grow, grow grow!
The comfrey is going nuts, the fruit trees have all flowered, the green manure plants are coming up, and all the currants, trees and groundcovers we planted during our last Food Forest Garden Workshop are as happy as can be.
Now that the drip irrigation is getting sorted, we can even be fairly sure that even if we get a very harsh summer, the forest garden will make it through! It’s already a beautiful place to be, and it will only get greener and more forest-like as the season goes on.
Looking forward to our first peach of the season…
