Calling all potential local food futurists! A quick note that the South East Local Leaders program is open for applications.
South East Local Land Services, South East Landcare and the Small Farms Network have teamed up with leadership training providers Global Learning to run three high quality local leadership development opportunities in the South East Local Land Services region.
This program has two target groups:
1. Shoalhaven Illawarra and Southern Highlands Local Food Sector
The first cohort will be targeting the local food sector in the Shoalhaven, Illawarra and Southern Highlands.
Applications for this cohort close 17 December. The program starts with a 3-day residential component at Berry Sport and Recreation Centre from the 2nd to the 4th of February.

Please share this amazing opportunity around folks!
It would be great to see the Illawarra cultivate more food system folks who were inspired and activated to get cracking, doing, advocating and everything else our community needs.
*Just a note that you do not get Fiona Weir Walmsley, nor the chicken, as seen in the top picture as part of this program. Which is a darn shame as Fiona’s pretty awesome, and a local food leader in a nutshell. First photo via The Australian.
Hey! we are in whats known as the South East? Gippsland.. are you only referring to that very small area known as NSW?
Robbie I’m afraid in this instance it is indeed the south coast of NSW being referred to, as its a council funded thing –
Love the note re Fiona! Shame we don’t get her or the chicken as Fiona is indeed awesome
